The Turnbalism project was born in 2012 in South Africa, between Pretoria and Johannesburg, where the founder spent six months observing local culture. Walking through the townships, he discovers music that blends enchanting traditional sounds with warm and percussive house, but also by going to the Lutheran church every Sunday with his host family, he gets a taste for religious gospels that radiate very powerful emotion. Impressed by the craze around this popular music, it was only when he returned to Paris, his hometown, that he decided to share his experience and discoveries with the Western public. Raised with African music from an early age, and as a big fan of electronic sounds, he creates his sets by mixing African tribal, percussive sounds and voices inspired by House Music of Detroit, Chicago and New York. A deep groove with no limits, Turnbalism has been erupting on the most beautiful dance floors of the capital ever since, in France and elsewhere. Always leaving behind beautiful memories with a music that constantly encourages you to share, dance and love.
